Anne Symons, BA, CHCP

Anne has over 15 years of experience in CME. She was trained by the ACCME while working for the Colorado Medical Society as Manager of Education and Accreditation (2002-2007). During that time, she read and reviewed nearly 100 self-studies and participated in those site surveys. In 2007, Anne accepted a management position at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. As Manager of Continuing Education and Medical Libraries, she successfully led the organization through both physician and nursing education re-recognition processes.  Anne’s career path then led her to Elsevier Office of Continuing Medical Education for whom she successfully earned Accreditation with Commendation from the ACCME. She became versed in the credit systems of Canada and Europe. Anne worked with AANP to get activities certified for credit and completed the ACPE application to get the Elsevier Office of CME recognized as an accreditor of education for pharmacists.

As the accreditation system and criteria becomes increasingly more complex, accredited providers are challenged to maintain their current schedule of activities and devote months of time to the self-study process. Accreditation & Outcomes Solutions is your reliable source to assist in initial accreditation or reaccreditation.

Anne’s special areas of interest are teaching and mentoring. She is recognized by the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP) as a Distinguished member and continues working to become an ACEHP Fellow. Anne will be chairing the Alliance Basics course offered at the Alliance conference in Orlando in January 2017.

Anne is married to Bob Addleton, EdD, Past President of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions. They live in Bradenton, Florida with their retired racing greyhound, Chili.
